Texto offers a full range of editing services to let your business or brand shine on the marketplace.
Our language editors have years of experience combing through documents to draw out the very best a text has to offer. They can do everything from correcting simple typos to making sure a translation meets every quality standard. And they love what they do! For professional, polished results every time, trust our dedicated experts.
We offer three types of editing services: unilingual, bilingual and proofreading.
Unilingual editing
Unilingual editing generally involves improving a text written by a native speaker. It entails correcting everything from omissions and inconsistencies to errors in syntax, grammar and punctuation. Our skilled language editors are also great at adding a fresh, original touch to your message or even recommending more substantive changes to make your sentences sing. The end result is an idiomatic text that respects the author’s original style and intention, but flows naturally, reads well and has a bit more pizzazz!
Bilingual Editing
Bilingual editing, also called comparative editing, is a line-by-line comparison of an original text with its translated version* for a seamless deliverable. The goal here is to detect any oversights or errors in the translation, validate its quality and ensure that all the subtleties of the original are present in the final product.
*Please note that translations provided by the client must undergo a quality review before being considered for bilingual editing.

Proofreading
If you’re looking to make a great impression, proofreading all your written material is a must. It’s the last step before a website goes live, a proof goes to print, or a report gets tabled. It’s where our language experts detect any embarrassing (or even costly) mistakes that may have gone unnoticed during editing or been inadvertently added during layout. This can involve issues such as wrong word breaks, extra spaces or typos. It’s also the step that will help your business or brand put its best face forward.
